Bookings & Terms

We do our best to serve you in a friendly and efficient manner. Call 084 245 2490 or email us with your questions or complaints.

  • For all trips, payment in advance is necessary because we have to arrange guides, catering, and sometimes river access.
  • We’ll accept your 50% deposit to secure the booking but final payment is due at least 7 days prior to the trip for local trips.
  • For expeditions further from base (such as the Orange and Tugela rivers) full settlement is due 30 days in advance.
  • There are no refunds. In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to flood, drought, or other conditions or circumstances beyond our control, we offer mutually acceptable alternative dates.
  • In the event that you cancel, cancellation terms are:
    • For local trips, 7 days or under: deposit is forfeit
    • For expeditions, 30 days or under: deposit is forfeit
    • For local trips, over 7 days: deposit credited to a future trip less 25% admin fee.
    • For expeditions, over 30 days: deposit credited to a future trip less 25% admin fee.
    • Payment of the balance of deposit is calculated on the original number of people booked. There are no credits for late cancellations.
  • We issue an invoice when you make your reservation. VAT of 14% will be added to all prices.
  • Pay directly into our bank account and send proof of payment.
  • A reservation is not valid until the deposit is paid.
  • We do not organise a trip until the final payment is made, unless you have made alternative payment arrangements with us.
  • We employ trained guides and check our equipment, give you a safety briefing, and lead with care and caution. However, you undertake the trip at your own risk and must sign an Indemnity and Waiver.
  • Rivers can be dangerous. You are required to wear the issued safety gear, obey the lawful instructions of the guides and to act responsibly at all times. Unruly behaviour will not be allowed.
  • Anyone aged under 18 must have the indeminity countersigned by a parent or guardian.
  • No-one may go on the river in an inebriated state due to alcohol or under the influence of drugs. There are no refunds for anyone told to leave the trip.
  • Please respect nature and other river users. Read our Code of Ethics and Practice on this site.
